ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Marisa Burke, and I recently graduated from Iowa State University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the Greenlee School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Since starting my journey as a freshman in 2020, I have embraced every opportunity to grow and learn, building a strong foundation in strategic communication, media relations, and storytelling. Guided by my exceptional education at the Greenlee School, I uncovered my true passion: transforming ideas into impactful content that inspires communities and champions the people's voice through what we create. 

During my time at Iowa State, I honed my skills through hands-on experience in how to turn vision into action, creating, planning, and executing campaigns that reflect the fast-paced, all-hands-on-deck nature of the professional world. 

I am seeking a post-graduate internship where I can apply my knowledge and experience professionally.  I am excited to bring my passion, creativity, and drive to the next chapter in my career. I strongly believe in the need for communication to make a difference, and I am eager to contribute to the next generation of PR professionals.
