Marketing Intern | The Will Group


Contributed to digital and social media campaigns, content creation, and email marketing, including the Illinois Department of Transportation’s It’s Not a Game initiative. Managed social media strategy, developed newsletters and multimedia assets, and executed targeted outreach that supported audience engagement and lead generation. Gained hands-on experience in campaign analytics, SEO, and cross-platform content strategy in a fast-paced marketing environment.

Monthly Newsletters

Each month, I create an internal newsletter for The Will Group to keep all employees informed of company news, project updates, and key announcements. This initiative ensures that team members who do not use social media still stay connected and engaged with relevant information across the organization. Click here to view my best example

LinkedIn Articles & Thought Leadership

I launched a LinkedIn content strategy for The Will Group featuring long-form articles on best practices, project highlights, and partnerships. This approach positioned the company as a thought leader in our industry, while also boosting visibility, increasing engagement with external audiences, and generating quality website leads. Case Studies 

During my internship, I prepared and conducted interviews with sales representatives to develop case studies showcasing major projects across each business unit. I also supported our website rebrand by reformatting and updating case studies to align with current brand standards.Our case studies are featured on the company website and also serve as a valuable sales enablement tool for our sales team. Click here to view an example.

Email Campaigns: Constant Contact 

During my internship, I gained hands-on experience managing and planning active email campaigns, using real-time metrics such as open rates, click-throughs, and engagement to refine our communications strategy. I developed proficiency with Constant Contact and contributed to audience targeting by researching and compiling contact information for a diverse range of stakeholders. One campaign I helped execute resulted in 137 new contacts and generated 40 solid leads, demonstrating the effectiveness of data-driven outreach.  Click here to few a language plan for an email campaign our marketing team created.

Event Preparation

I supported event preparation by creating marketing materials, social posts, and organizing handouts for booths and workshops. I also improved our Q&A process by introducing a scannable QR code in attendee folders, making it easier for participants to access and submit questions digitally.

Social Media Content Creation

I managed and executed biweekly social media content planning, ensuring a diverse mix of content formats including articles, images, videos, and project highlights. I also wrote engaging captions tailored to each post and consistently tagged relevant stakeholders and partners to maximize visibility and engagement.
